Club Monaco Celebrates the Season with Kate Mara

December 19, 2007 ­ – Shoppers were out at Club Monaco's 'Celebrate The Season' holiday event, held at its 57th St store in New York City last night to do some shopping while being served with champagne and other goodies. Actress Kate Mara, star of movies such as Brokeback Mountain and We Are Marshall, was on hand to celebrate the holidays and mingle with guests. Kate was wearing a beautiful silvery sequin dress with stunning Christian Louboutin heels. It was all for a good cause, with proceeds from the event going to benefit Faces of Kibera, a group dedicated to helping Kenyan Orphans.
Running With Heels was a guest at the event, and we made sure to snap a few shoe photos of the trendy guests.

Go Inside the SPD Holiday Party at New York City's Elmo

December 13, 2007 – Publication designers from leading magazines like Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, "O" Magazine, Brides and many more got together to toast the holiday season at Elmo Restaurant in New York City's trendy Chelsea neighborhood last night. The crowd of nearly 150 included members of the Society of Publication Designers and danced to music spun by DJ Andy Luna before capping off the night with several raffle prizes. An iPod Nano, autographed cookbooks from Martha Stewart, a box collection of movies from New Line Cinema, and a $100 iTunes gift card from Running With Heels.com were among the many prizes dolled out at the party. Running With Heels happily stepped in as the evening's photogs, snapping pictures of trendy party-goers footwear.

"SPD is a non profit organization for designers and photo editors working in magazine and newspaper design." Members of the organization work "to promote the role of the art director and photo editor as visual journalists."
