One of our favorite parts of the holiday season is seeing what campaigns our favorite designers, department stores and shopping destinations have come up with to celebrate. Topshop is gunning for the top spot this year, with their very first Christmas movie — starring fashion fan favorite Kate Bosworth — as part of a 360 degree interactive digital campaign.
The short film was directed and produced by critically acclaimed director Michael Polish, and is inspired by the famous piano scene in the film, The Fabulous Baker Boys. In the film, Bosworth performs a sultry version of the iconic Christmas song, “Winter Wonderland” while wearing a gorgeous custom-made sequined Topshop evening dress that she co-designed with the Topshop Design Team.
The whole production is spellbindingly Old Hollywood glam and it’s hard not to get wrapped up in how effortlessly cool and simultaneously festive feel. If you’re anything like us, you’ll be desperate to take a cue from Kate and search the racks for a fancy Topshop frock to wear to all of your holiday parties this year — and maybe even belt out some carols after a glass or two of champagne.
You can go online to topshop.com to watch the video, download “Winter Wonderland,” and place a special made order for the dress and shoes Bosworth wears in the movie. Or, if you’ve already got your own look picked out, browse and buy all of the makeup Bosworth wears in the film to get a little bit of the look for yourself.
