Bio: Canadian native Jerome C. Rousseau honed his skills splitting time between Los Angeles, where he is currently based, and London, where he attended Cordwainer’s College. Rousseau started sketching out shoes in his teen years, leading him to eventually work with big names like Matthew Williamson, John Richmond and John Rocha. He eventually set out to create his own label, launching his first collection in the fall of 2008.

His shoes are handcrafted in Italy where the “best tanneries, heel makers, and last makers live,” he says in a video interview.

The burgeoning label was backed by Vogue, Elle, Harper’s Bazaar and more, and Charlize Theron was the first to wear the brand on the red carpet. The brand which he pours his heart and soul into has been turning the heads of the fashion industry and celebrities alike who want to get behind this unique new brand.

Fun Facts: His shoes were featured in an aquarium scene in the movie The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus

His label was asked to create the shoe for Tron (worn by Carrie Underwood).
