Opening up her first shop in 1991 and then winning the Perry Ellis Award for emerging talent from the CFDA five years later in 1996, Daryl K has been on the fashion scene for years spinning outfits for the downtown-cool, creative type.
Since then, she’s gone on to design pieces loved by a range of people from Kim Gordon of Sonic Youth to fashion editor Camilla Nickerson. Now, she has teamed up with Urban Outfitters to release an exclusive Designed by: Daryl K collection, made up of seven pieces exclusively for UO. Ranging in price from $59-139, the collection is made up of faux leather pants, a printed camo jacket, a burnout bomber jacket, an animal-print sweater, a raw hem tunic, a silk top and a mesh sequin dress.
Of the collection, Kerrigan has said, “I’m so happy to be able to get these great Daryl K clothes to some cool girls at a price they can afford.” We love how there’s a piece to satisfy every part of an urban-girl’s wardrobe. Shop the collection when it hits stores next week.
