EDIBLE JEWELRY: Food for Thought

These rings are so cute, you’ll want to eat them up — and the best part is that you actually can.

Cathy at La Prochaine Fois got some inspiration from the produce aisle with these incredibly cool baubles, using a dehydrator to dry out various fruits including pears, plums, oranges and apples, fashioning them into gorgeous floral shapes and popped them on top of a silver ring.

These rings are not only unique and gorgeous, but the artistic thought process behind them (redefining the materials that can be used to make “precious” jewelry and reprocessing the emotional attachment people have with their baubles) are incredibly thoughtful and thought-provoking.
