FALL 2011 FORECAST: Next Year’s Trench
Just when you thought you had the trench trend all figured out the right amount of military here, a dash of luxe fabric there those masters of the trench coat Burberry go and throw another twist to the look gemstones!
Yes, that’s right, designer Christopher Bailey has decreed that next fall apparently we’ll be tripping over ourselves to snag an embellished coat that has enough bejeweled adornment to make our hearts flutter.
With pockets shimmering in stones as well as lapels and yolks flaunting the bedazzled treatment I think this is one trend we’re going to love. For those out there with a little creative nouse, you might want to think about dashing out to your local art store to nail this trend before it goes mainstream. – SARA DELANEY
