DESIGNER PROFILE: Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent

Launched in 2003, Twelfth Street by Cynthia Vincent is the brain child of one of the most highly regarded contemporary fashion designers. Named after the street Vincent grew up on, the line has been recognized for its on trend and on point casual elegance. Becoming a celebrity favorite for the likes of Ashley Olsen, Vincent expanded to include a shoe line — filled with everything from ballet flats, gladiator sandals and heels, in 2005.

One sure mark of Cynthia Vincent’s over-the-top popularity with both the celebrity set and the fashion conscious public was her role in the ever-expanding Target designer collections in Summer 2010. Vincent sucessfully created a line of shoes that became mainstays on editor’s must-haves lists and went on to sell out within 24 hours of arriving in stores. Coming up next for Cynthia Vincent is the release of her Resort Collection, a group of casual tunics, sweet sheaths, dressed-up shorts, shoes and handbags in muted blues, peach and beige — sure to be must have hues this Spring. – KERI JAREMA
