Katie Holmes On Suri's Controversial Heels

suriThere's no doubt that the spotlight has been on little Suri Cruise lately.  With all the great clothes she has access to, the three-year-old daughter of Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes is already a budding fashionista.  So when multiple photos were snapped of her sporting a pair of metallic heels, needless to say, the media went crazy.

While there's no "right" age to have your first pair of heels, many parents and others were concerned that wearing them is a bit too much for a little girl's growing feet.

After much debate on the issue, Katie Holmes finally defended her choice to let Suri wear the heels, which are actually ballroom dancing shoes for kids.

"I found them for her and she loves them," said Katie Holmes.

She added, "Like every little girl, she loves my high heels."

Heels on a young child is still questionable, but it's not like she's wearing a pair of 5-inch stilettos.  How young is too young to wear a pair of heels?

i cannot see why some people are questioning that a 3 year old should be wearing kids heels. the heels in question dont even look as if they are 2" high. back in the 1970's when i was in primary school aged around 8 or 9 i had a pair of 4 to 4.5" mens platforms. my feet were quite large for my age (about uk6) i used to wear them to school every day just like 99.95 of other children in the school and i have no long term problem. just to let you know i have recently completed a 5 mile walk in a pair of womens 7.5" platforms with only 3 small blisters
