The Sky's the Limit for Modern Vintage

Modern Vintage S/S 2010Modern Vintage is just as the name describes.  The brand is famous for its cool boots that mix select vintage leather with fashion-forward cuts and styling.  The Montreal-based company was introduced just six years ago and has already become a huge hit with celebrities and boot lovers all over the world.  With three footwear lines plus two celebrity collaborations in the works, the founders are keeping quite busy.

According to WWD, brothers Rick Cytrynbaum and Brian Cytrynbaum are looking to expand Modern Vintage globally and launch an apparel and footwear collection with both Nicole Richie and Heidi Klum for fall 2010.  The label’s celebrity partnerships will offer a more moderate price point with shoes priced between $89 and $395.  Jewelry, accessories, and swimwear will also be featured in these lines.

“We’re not just in the apparel business or just in the footwear business. We really know what’s happening across the board and what the story is,” Rick Cytrynbaum said.

The Rosegold label, which started in Europe in 2007, plans to reach even more stores in the U.S. including Saks Fifth Avenue and American Rag in 2010.

And wait, there’s more.  Beginning in January, Modern Vintage will be ready to debut its leather jackets and handbags along with Ernest Sewn men’s and women’s shoes for fall.

If everything else is just as exciting as the brand’s boots, I can’t wait to see it all.
