When it comes to beauty, not everything has to be complex or expensive. In fact some of my favorite tricks can be done in seconds and the payoff…well, it really speaks for itself. The following tips are so great; they almost seem too good to be true. But trust me when I tell you, my words are true.

1. Everyone wants that glow from within. The easiest (and fastest) way to achieve it is by using SkinTint FX by Cover FX ($42, www.sephora.com). When worn alone, the blend of sheer color, bronzer and ultra fine shimmer will make your skin radiate with youth, health and beauty. When worn under your foundation, the SkinTint serves as an amazing primer. This will give your foundation, whether cream, liquid (or any other texture), an amazing amount of glide-ability. 2. Everyone who has ever walked down a red carpet knows that bones are beauty. Few things are more stunning that light radiating off the high points of the face. To show off the architecture of your face, buff Albatross by NARS ($25, www.sephora.com) on the high points of your cheekbones, the center of your forehead, the bridge of your nose and your chin. For a little extra sparkle, buff a touch on the inside of the apple of the cheek (right near the nose) and into your collarbones. Want the glow all over your body? Rub a clean mascara wand over the Albatross and turn the pressed powder into a fine loose powder. Mix the loose powder into your favorite moisturizer and rub it into every bit of visible skin. Perfection!

3. Who doesn’t want the option of going make-up optional? Until recently, I would have told you, unless you’re under 25 or genetically blessed, it isn’t possible. Well, guess what babies? Beauty Society has a product called Photo Shoot ($38.50, http://matthew.societyskincare.com), and trust me when I tell you….it will make your dreams come true. Utilizing soft-light diffusing technology, this mattifying cream will add instant vibrancy and smoothness to your face by filling pores, softening fine lines and evening out discoloration (including rosacea). Used alone, or under your make-up, this is one of the biggest must have products in the make-up industry. Cameron Diaz and Sarah Jessica Parker swear by this product for a reason…

A lot of artists out there would love to have you believe that beauty tricks are complex and can only be done by the pros. As I hope you know by now, I am not one of those artists. The few tricks I mention above will prove my point and demolish that theory. These three products will be the best $100 you spend this year.
