Though it rained heavily all day, we didn't let that stop us from shoe-store hunting in the city! Last week, we dropped by Shoegasm, in one of their three locations in the city, on 8th Ave. between 13th and 14th St. Inside, the brick walls, large antique mirrors and embellished chairs made for a cozy atmosphere. However, instead of sitting down, relaxing, and simply taking in our surroundings (shoes, shoes, and more shoes!!!) we walked around the store and checked out hands-on all of the different styles of shoes (and there were plenty of different styles to keep us busy!) from pumps to flats.
After taking a walk around the store, we came to the conclusion that Shoegasm will absolutely satisfy anyone's footwear needs. The walls are lined with flats, boots, pumps, gladiator style shoes, wedges, flip flops, and any other kind you can think of. They even had a selection of super cute rainboots that are great for walking around the city on a rainy day (we wanted to buy a few pair ourselves!). On one rack we found shoes perfect for work, a walk around town, or a night out. We especially loved the section of the store dedicated to comfortable shoes. We decided that no one can go wrong in Shoegasm, no matter what style you are looking for, from super dressy to super casual.

Along with the immaculate selection and assortment of shoes, they also sell accessories such as purses, bracelets, "shewlery", and jewelry. Gift cards are also available incase you want to give someone the gift of lovely shoes (or bags…the store featured a gorgeous Sabina bag that was 30% off the ticket price).

Shoegasm boasts designer shoes at accessible prices. Brands along the store walls include Seychelles, Poetic License, Kelsey Ragger, and tons more. In the middle of the store was a shoe rack holding boots, booties and other sneak-previews of fall shoes. Our favorite was a Report bootie.

We were especially impressed with the prices of the shoes. No pair was too expensive, and we were confident that if we bought a pair we wouldn't feel guilty of the huge pricetag afterwards.
Men's shoes are also on sale, with plenty of styles available for any guy. So ladies; if your man needs a new pair of shoes, bring him to Shoegasm! Maybe you'll even get away with getting a few pairs for yourself (especially if he's footing the bill!).
We found out that the Shoegasm website is currently in the process of being redone so that shoes will be available to be purchased straight from the website. Shoegasm shoes available in the comfort of our own homes? Sounds like we're going to be shopping our hands off!
The website will become more accessible and easier to navigate, so keep checking back! We can't wait for online shopping, which is perfect for those rainy days when you really want to shop but don't want to brave the wet city streets!
