Last week, I covered a handful of the amazing products and people that presented at Make-up Show New York.  This week, I am going to tell you about a few other brands and products that you really should know about.

Everyone in the business of make-up knows Naimies Beauty Center. Whatever your beauty needs may be, this super center of quality products has the solution. Samuel Bekerian, one of the men behind Naimies (and one of the genuinely nicest human beings I have ever encountered) brought the company to the show. He had a smattering of his best selling products available, but he also had the full line (and some very accomplished artists including Wanda Longo, Taneil Britton, Matthew Ambrosio and Katia Lee) from Cover FX, the crème de la crème of foundation. The booth was surrounded for two days straight and before the show was even over, nearly all of the products were gone.

What makes Cover FX so astounding is the fact that their foundation truly mimics real skin. This next line makes one of my favorite things in make-up, and I stumbled upon it entirely by accident. Skindinavia is a line that produces products with the sole purpose of improving the wear and longevity of make-up. Every time I finish a make-up application, I spray my client with one of their finishing sprays.  My favorite is the original, Make Up Finishing Spray ($29.95, www.skindinavia.com).  It promises to give your make up all day hold, and guess what, it delivers. The weightless formula has unique properties that cool the surface of the skin to keep make up from melting, smudging and losing color. Coco De Mer Eye Shadow ($22.50) is a medium brown that holds a beautiful green shimmer. It looks amazing swept across the lid or used wet as a soft liner. Frangipani Sheer Lipstick ($21.50) is my favorite. The vivid fuchsia has a gold sparkle that is sure to catch every eye. The coverage is buildable so it can be worn soft or bold. The third and final piece in this new collection is the Peacock Flower Lip Gloss ($21.50). The pinky, peach shade holds a stunning violet opalescence. I recommend you pick up all three.
