Allison Abrams - The Stylist's Guide To Gift-Giving: Part 3

A few months ago I featured DIY handbag company Elemental Threads (aka eThreads) among my favorite custom sites to shop.  Recently, I was fortunate enough to cross paths with eThreads owner and designer Emily Worden, whose energy, enthusiasm and keen eye for custom offerings has made her business an international success.  Little did I know that the entrepreneurial site was quickly expanding!  The selection has grown steadily since I wrote about it last, from a handful of customizable bags, to a fleet of 12+ stylish options, with several more on the way!

As we discussed last week, customized products are the perfect gift for someone who has it all, someone whose tastes simply can't be satisfied with an off-the-rack purchase, or someone you'd just like to make feel truly special during the holidays.  With bags at every price point from $16 to $85, and over 60,000 unique possibilities, eThreads is sure to have the right present for every girl on your list.  And for those of you who aren't interested in concocting your own creation, but still want to get or give a gorgeous, limited edition accessory, check out the new eDesigned Bags (pictured above).  I'm in love with the gold brocade Stephanie clutch and may just need to snag one of the ten available to add a touch of fresh holiday glamour to my wardrobe!

Looking to add a chic update to your own wardrobe?  Enter to win your custom creation from eThreads!

Five fortunate Running With Heels readers will win* their choice of ring pouch, (perfect for running errands with only a cell phone, keys, credit card, and lip gloss in tow – valued at $25), or medium pouch (ideal for holding makeup, jewelry, and more – valued at $21)!

How to enter, you ask? It’s simple!  Submit a comment below telling us which Elemental Threads style you love the most by 12 PM EST, Thursday, November 27th! The winners will be chosen at random at that time, so be sure to leave your comment by then to be eligible.

Best of Luck + Stay Stylish,

Ally

P.S. Rumor has it that eThreads will be debuting an amazing Hobo Bag with interchangeable handles, glass pendant necklaces and fabulous fabric brooches soon – check their blog for updates!

I think the small tote is my favorite style overall. Of the two styles being given away, the medium pouch would be great for all those loose odds and ends you have when traveling.

My two favorites are the medium pouch and the small tote. I love all the different fabric selections offered and would have to say that canvas_33 is my favorite of the fabrics offered, but there are just so many to choose from!

  12. Karen R. Young Says:

My favorite would be the large tote, as it seems I need a large bag to carry all my essentials. The new hobo bag sounds like one I would have to get. Thanks for giving away 2 bags of which I probably would go for the ring pouch.

  13. Susan Says:

These bags are terrific. My favorite of the two bags is the ring pouch – great size and the ring makes it easy to grab, carry and/or add keys to. But my favorite of all the elemental threads bag is the small tote. Great shape and size!

  14. Marie Says:

The medium bag is the perfect size

  25. Susi Says:

Wow – this was truly FUN!!! I loved being able to see what all the fabrics looked like on the different bag styles, a different fabric for each bag – too FUN. I finally decided that I really liked the small tote with an oriental fabric (peoneys, bamboo, black, blue/teal, gold, red) design, I choose black lining and handles and a silver clasp – that REALLY made me feel cheerful. As for the bags given away, I liked the medium tote with the same fabric – it really was fun to "design your own"
    Thank you

  26. Joyce Diehl Says:

I looove the medium pouch(it'll help keep my big tote bag organized!) with the purple floral japanese linen…or maybe the cotton "feather" print (cotton 36)…or maybe the "watercolor" floral (cotton 32)…So many choices & sooo much fun designing your own bag!

  32. Elissa Cici Says:

I love the large Tote! And I absolutely love the idea of designing your own bag. I just went on the Elemental Threads website and played with endless options!

The square day clutch is a great size to fit the essentials for day or night…and in blue tweed with a gray top band, this clutch is a perfect nod to fall fashion! I love it!

  34. Shannon Says:

What wonderful fabrics and a fun concept – I couldn't decide between the round day clutch and the straight wristlet. I'd love any of them – how fun to design your own!
