H.H. Brown Celebrates w/ 3rd Eye Blind

After so many hours spent on their feet, it's only natural that WSA attendees need to let loose by the time evening rolls around. Well, many got their chance last Tuesday night when, in celebration of the company's 125th Anniversary, H. H. Brown Shoe Co. hosted a concert and party featuring  not only Pat Monahan of the band Train, but the ‘90's powerhouse Third Eye Blind, (who proved they can still rock). Allison Abrams and I were there, camera in hand, to partake in the festivities and boy were we treated to a good time. We weren't the only ones enjoying ourselves, either. Hundreds of people showed up, but not so many as to keep us from getting to the front of the stage!

Drinks poured all night long, food was plentiful, and when the music started it was the beginning of a phenomenal show. I'll admit I was not a huge fan of the band Train but after Pat Monahan's show I couldn't help but become one. He was absolutely AMAZING, and I am not embellishing or overstating in any way. He's a truly gifted singer, (pretty cute too), and I think most people there that night agreed that he stole the show. That's not to say Third Eye Blind was lacking in any way, though. They were full of energy and played well, the crowd eagerly singing along to all their radio hits. Allison and I were even lucky enough to go "back stage" afterwards and meet the band which I have to admit was pretty cool, (although I don't think the lead singer, Stephan Jenkins, was too thrilled when I told him I saw him 10 years ago in NYC). Oh well! Thanks H. H. Brown!!!
